1. Overview

These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and any purchase you make through it. "We", "us" and "our" refer to PettiChat. By browsing this site or placing an order you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

We may update these Terms at any time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to place an order.

3. Products and descriptions

We work to describe our products accurately, including specifications, images and feature descriptions. Screen colours vary between devices, and product images are illustrative. Software features delivered through the companion app may be added, changed or removed over time.

The device interprets pet vocalisations and behaviour and presents the result as an estimate. It is an aid to understanding your pet, not a diagnostic or medical device, and it is not a substitute for veterinary advice. Do not rely on it to detect illness, injury or emergencies.

4. Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in US dollars and include any applicable duties and import taxes as stated in our Shipping Policy. Prices and promotions can change without notice, but a change never affects an order already confirmed.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where the item was listed at an obviously incorrect price, where stock is unavailable, or where we suspect fraud. If we cancel a paid order, we refund it in full.

5. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. Our acceptance takes place when we send the shipping confirmation email. Before that point, either side may cancel.

6. Shipping, returns and warranty

Delivery times, returns, refunds and warranty cover are set out in our Shipping Policy and our Returns, Refunds and Warranty policy. Those policies form part of these Terms.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site to break any law, to interfere with its operation or security, to scrape or copy its content for a competing commercial purpose, or to submit content that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site - text, images, video, logos, product designs and software - belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from it without our written permission. See our Intellectual Property Rights page for full detail and for how to report an infringement.

9. User content

If you send us reviews, photographs, videos or other material, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it in connection with our products and marketing. You confirm the material is yours to give and does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove any submission at our discretion.

10. Third-party links and services

This site may link to third-party sites and services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site and its content are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the site.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
